The seventh grade GREAT Graduates at Trinity Lutheran Grade School, decided to have a Bake Sale for their project.  They were able to raise over One Hundred Twenty Dollars at this sale.  This particular class only had 16 students!  The proceeds were donated to the local BOY AND GIRLS CLUB. Featured in the photo below is The Most Outstanding GREAT Student of the class and the Director of the Boys and Girls Club.

BAD WEATHER EQUAL SUCCESSFUL SALE!

During the bake sale, Cape was experiencing adverse weather in the form of severe thunderstorms.  This storm spawned a tornado funnel cloud.  Cape Public School shut down the entire school system until the all clear was given by the local weather service.   The good thing is that this all happened during the bake sale.  As parents were arriving to pick up their kids, they had to remain there, sort of in a captive situation and couldn’t leave.  I guess, they (Parents) decided well if we can’t leave, we might as well eat.  All baked goods were sold due to good food and the weather.   I guess the moral to this story is…If you experience a tornado funnel cloud…have a bake sale.
